After School programs consist of one two-hour session a week for 10-weeks and are great intros into media creation. Attendees work in small groups to write, shoot, and edit their own short films, as well as learn story ideation, screenwriting videography, and editing from a dedicated media teacher. We have our own media literacy curriculum which teaches participants how to draft stories that center on characters that reflect their unique point of view. Additionally, they get the opportunity to learn and work on important leadership skills including collaborative group work, public speaking, and constructive criticism.
