Reel Stories Tutorial: DSLR Camera 101 with Filmmaker Christie Goshe

Camera 101 discusses basic pre-production and camera guidelines for making beautiful videos. This tutorial covers what you should look for in a shooting location, how to set up your camera, how to shoot scenes in a confined space (like at our homes during shelter-in-place!)and fundamentals of framing and lighting to craft visually-compelling stories.

About Christie:

Oakland-based filmmaker and photographer Christie Goshe has been a producer/shooter/editor for over a decade. She currently heads up Tiny Oak Media producing content for nonprofits and mission-aligned clients. With a documentary approach, Christie shoots on Canon 5D Mark III and Panasonic GH5, appreciating a minimalistic yet versatile kit. She has also worked as a cinematography teacher for Reel Stories & other organizations. Christie earned a BA from Bennington College in Vermont, grew up in rural Ohio, and is a cat person.
